Achieving a Successful Maternity Session

When to schedule your session?

For your session to be a success, the advice is to have a nice bump, which is why we usually wait until the seventh month (without waiting too long, so as not to miss the opportunity… and to avoid being too tired).
In general, I recommend booking the session around your fifth month, so you have a date for your seventh or eighth month.
If there are other health restrictions, we adapt 😉

What to wear?

Some small tips (you’ll find more on the dedicated page…):

  • Opt for sober tones (white, beige, black, gray) and soft shades.
  • Avoid prints and visible logos.
  • Also avoid maternity clothing that doesn’t always flatter us.

What’s most common is to wear:

  • Flowy dresses that make you feel comfortable, as long as they allow your bump to show.
  • Clothes that highlight your belly, fitted pieces, jeans, shirts, bras, etc.
  • It’s also an opportunity to take artistic or semi-nude photos, with lingerie, fabrics, using accessories.

I’m here to talk about all this with you if you need, so don’t hesitate to write me or send me photos of what you’re thinking of wearing.

Accessories

Feel free to bring accessories (hat, scarf, fan, etc. Something that represents you), and also personal accessories, such as an ultrasound, the baby’s future plush toy, or their future little shoes…

Prepare your session!

By ‘preparing,’ I mean that I recommend not neglecting any detail, whether it’s your hair, makeup, or manicure…

I’m not saying that heavy makeup is necessary, but I recommend something fresh and light.

Having well-groomed nails is especially important, as hands are often placed on the belly… and yes, the belly is our main focus here.

Take care: Remember to stay hydrated and rest before the session.

The big day

No stress, I’m here to guide you and advise you. It’s my job to highlight your beauty 🙂 One of my most important tips… be yourself!

Relax, and you’ll see that you’ll have beautiful photos of this very special stage of your life.
